This is yet another product that I've heard
so much about, and something I've been dying to try since I heard about it! As I've mentioned, I'm not a lipstick fan at all. I'm always too conscious that it's there, it feels awkward to eat or drink with and I somehow end up with lipstick all over my teeth and god knows where else. So when I heard about this lip butter, I thought it sounded great - basically a moisturizing lip balm with colour!
I intended to purchase the shade
Peach Parfait but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I settled for
Tutti Frutti which is more orange than I anticipated. Revlon claims that these lip butters will make your lips softer, more hydrated and and smoother as they are enriched with mango, shea and coconut butter.
Firstly, how gorgeous is this packaging?! I love it. You can see how bright it looks in the applicator, but it actually applies quite sheer so there's still a pop of colour but it's not so in-your-face. These retail at £7.99, but Superdrug is currently selling them on offer at £5.99.

It applies really smoothly and has a very creamy, buttery (as the name suggests) consistency. I love the fact that you can apply it really easily as it's more like a lip balm than a lipstick, so you don't have to be as precise as you do with lipstick. Great to chuck in your handbag for touch-ups during the day! And - bonus! - this hasn't transferred on to my teeth at all yet!
I'll be making sure I pick up a few more shades of this on my next trip to the shops, it's so easy to apply, made my lips feel super-soft and gives a lovely shine without the stickiness of a gloss.
Have you tried Revlon's lip butters yet? What's your favourite shade?
I really want to try them, this shade looks really nice on you! xx
ReplyDeleteYou should, I think they're worth the hype! Thanks. :) xx
Deletethis is the one that i originally wanted but whenever i went to the store its always sold out :( this looks gorgeous on you!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Keep an eye out for it, it's a lovely shade for summer! xx
DeleteI struggled to get hold of Peach Parfait too, eventually found it. :) I also have Berry Smoothie, but I find Peach Parfait to be more appropriate for me to wear on a daily basis. :)
ReplyDeleteI finally found Peach Parfait today, so I'm happy! I agree that it's a more weable colour for during the day. I'll probably save this one for "special" occasions or on holiday. :) xx
DeleteI definitely have not seen this colour in the shops. I love it!
ReplyDeleteKeep an eye out for it next time, it's perfect for summer! xx
DeleteI'd love to try them but my BF hates anything on lips so I'm on a lipstick embargo! Sob. Looks lovely though :) (And I guess it'll save me £8!) x
ReplyDeleteAw no, that's rubbish! Thank you. :) xx
DeleteI love the Revlon Lip Butters and Tutti Frutti looks lovely on you. I think Peach Parfait is probably my favourite so definitely pick it up if you can find it! x
ReplyDeleteThanks. :) I found Peach Parfait yesterday so naturally I snapped it up! xx
DeleteThat looks great, I really want to try them!! x
ReplyDeleteThanks! You should, they're great. :) xx
DeleteThat color looks gorgeous on you! I have a bunch of Revlon lip butters, but my favorite is Pink Truffle. It's natural looking, goes with everything, and still gives me a nice pop of color. I've been thinking about getting Tutti Frutti for awhile now, but I'm scared it will look too garish on me. I don't think I've ever worn an orange lipstick or gloss before, but since you said this one is sheer, maybe it's worth giving a try! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Pink Truffle sounds lovely, I think I'll be picking up a new shade every time I'm at the shops! I was a little wary of how bright it would be too, but it's actually quite wearable and that's saying something coming from the girl who was pretty much a lipstick virgin until last week. :P x
Deletei really want that colour, but its always sold out!
